About Ed Mora

Ed is the Sr. Director of the DCC, System Restoration and Reliability Operations. With over three decades of steering high-performance teams and organizational design in the electric power, engineering, and construction sectors, his tenure has been marked by a commitment to safety, relationships, servant leadership, and operational excellence. Throughout his time at Tampa Electric, he has honed his expertise in Transmission Engineering, Distribution Operations, Substation Operations, Grid (Transmission) Operations, System Planning, and Distribution Control Room Operations. He has leveraged these skills to continue the significant role of driving the Distribution Control Room Operation and field First Responders to provide safe, NERC Compliant (CIP and O&P), and reliable power to our customers including all hurricanes and cold weather events. He has a MS and a BS (with Honors) Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida. He is a registered NERC RC and a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Florida, South Carolina, and Idaho.
