About Ed Keusenkothen

Head of Business Technology Office for Freddie Mac’s Securitization LOB. Responsible for the Freddie Mac’s Securitization technology strategy, solutions delivery and technical operations for single class and multiclass mortgage-backed securitization line-of-business. Build and modernize DevOps delivery teams and processes to address evolving business targets while improving speed-to-market. Technology support ranges from state-of-the-art AWS cloud-native solutions to efficient change and production support of legacy systems.Technology Lead for Freddie Mac’s enterprise transition from LIBOR to SOFR index for new adjustable rate products, models and hedging as well as overall effort to convert existing LIBOR portfolio to the new index.Upon taking ownership of Freddie Mac’s Credit Risk Transfer (CRT) business technology, transformed the 100+ person program from large, agile project teams to scaled, agile release trains with small, persistent product teams. Provided solutions for STACR, ACIS, REMIC credit risk transfer instruments as well as reimagined solutions for modernizing credit enhancements and automating claims processing. Under the guidance and partnership of the US Treasury assigned Conservator, FHFA, acted as technical advisor for Freddie Mac’s interest in the development of the Common Securitization Platform (CSP) and the establishment of Common Securitization Solutions (CSS) LLC, a Joint Venture with Fannie Mae. Leadership roles included representing Freddie Mac’s technology interests in the CSP as well as leading the internal program to build and redesign systems to integrate with CSP and introduce the Uniform Mortgage Backed Security (UMBS) or Single Security. Experience transforming monolithic applications to microservices-based architectures, using Spring boot/Docker on Kubrenetes platforms. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket with Jenkins, Docker, etc for toolchain/release train automation. Lead Modern Delivery product teams using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for Lean Enterprise.Prior to joining Freddie Mac, he held positions at Neustar, Bank of America, Network Solutions and General Dynamics.NeuStar Program Management, Data Center Migration, National Telecom Administration Bank of America/Consolidated Networks – Data Center Migration, Program ManagementNetwork Solutions (19••••97) – Nationwide LAN/WAN and Telecom rollout for USDA and USPSGeneral Dynamics/TECHMATICS (19••••98) – Nuclear Counterterrorism, National Security, Navy Shipbuilding, Nuclear Hardening
