As a Catchment Restoration Manager actively contributing to the work of the Atlantic Salmon Trust and the Deveron, Bogie, and Isla Rivers Charitable Trust, I am dedicated to enhancing and restoring terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems. My current focus is on leading a watershed-wide project aimed at revitalising the Deveron catchment on a landscape scale.In my role, I implement evidence-based strategies to enhance the health of terrestrial and aquatic species while adopting an ecosystem-based approach to ensure the overall well-being of the catchment. Recognising the crucial role of wild salmon and trout as keystone species, I am committed to taking immediate action to restore the natural processes of the river, bolstering its resilience against present and future threats to these vital ecosystems.As a part of a dynamic team, I actively collaborate with landowners, funders, agencies, local stakeholders, and businesses. My primary goal is to facilitate significant and rapid changes, guiding the catchment through essential transformations to promote cold, clean water systems and foster thriving habitats.In strategic collaboration with landowners and land managers, I play a pivotal role in conceiving and executing projects. These initiatives encompass the removal of instream barriers, replanting riparian woodlands, establishing structured buffer strips, and implementing various other ecological restoration schemes. My comprehensive approach aims to contribute to the sustainable health of the catchment\'s ecosystems.
