As the Director of Tribal Relations, I serve as a key liaison between Idaho State University and Tribal Nations, working to strengthen government-to-government relationships, enhance Native student success, and promote cultural understanding across campus. I collaborate with University leadership, Tribal leaders, Native students, and community partners to ensure ISU is a welcoming, supportive, and responsive institution for Indigenous communities.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain strong relationships with Tribal governments, particularly the five federally recognized Tribes of Idaho and regional Nations.Support Native student outreach, retention, and success initiatives.Facilitate communication between Tribal communities and ISU\'s leadership, faculty, and departments.Advise University administration on Tribal sovereignty, cultural protocols, and policy impacts.Collaborate with Native American Student Services, faculty, and staff to enhance visibility, engagement, and support for Indigenous students.Help guide institutional initiatives around inclusion, representation, and educational access for Native students.
