ABOUT ERIN CHEREWATTI
I’m a career and placement coach with 10+ years of experience supporting students in life sciences, healthcare, and public health as they navigate career exploration, internships, graduate school, and full-time employment.Currently, I coach low-income and first-generation college students nationwide through Thrive Scholars, where I focus on economic mobility, resilience, and career readiness. I support scholars through every stage of the internship and job search — from resumes and interviewing to salary negotiation and on-the-job success.Previously, I served as Assistant Director of Career & Professional Development at UMass Amherst, working with hundreds of science undergraduates each year through individual coaching, classroom instruction, and employer partnerships. I’ve collaborated with faculty and recruiters to expand access to internships, research, and experiential learning opportunities across STEM fields.I’m especially passionate about equity-centered career coaching, inclusive hiring practices, and helping students translate their lived experiences into strengths. Happy to connect with educators, nonprofit leaders, and employers committed to access and opportunity in STEM and healthcare.
