About Eduardo Cartagena
I\'m currently an Integration Engineering Lead for Battery and Charging Systems at Caterpillar, where I help bring electric powertrain solutions to life across a wide range of machines. I work closely with teams across the company to make sure our battery and charging systems fit the needs of each product and that they’re efficient, reliable, and ready for real-world use. Before this, I led thermal performance efforts for EV batteries at General Motors, where I helped shift development toward more virtual testing and streamlined problem-solving across teams.I\'m also pursuing my Master\'s in Energy Systems Engineering at the University of Michigan, which lets me dive even deeper into clean energy, electrification, and system-level thinking. I\'m passionate about solving tough technical problems and finding better ways to move the industry forward one battery system at a time.Outside of work, I’m committed to STEM outreach and empowering the next generation of Latino STEM professionals. Whether it’s mentoring, organizing hands-on learning events, or just showing up for students who don’t always see themselves in this space. I believe representation and support can spark real change.
