ABOUT EBONY MCKEEVER

I help people achieve their academic and career goals through active listening, identifying and navigating potential barriers, and my vast experience in the education and mental health fields. I have personal experience navigating the college admissions process as a first generation college student along with helping family and community members feel confident and prepared to pursue post-secondary opportunities. I am particularly passionate about increasing access to higher education for first-generation, low income, and Black students, in which I have demonstrated my commitment by starting the ProjectGiveBack scholarship. Since 2020, my scholarship committee and I have been able to review nearly essay and video applications of young Black women sharing their experience and plans to give back to the Black community. Merely through word of mouth and social media, I have fundraised over between 20••••21 and have awarded to 5 scholars. Skilled in Communication, Team Building, Data Analysis, Teamwork, Management, Coaching & Mentoring, Leadership, Donor Relations, and Public Speaking. Highly skilled in people engagement and support with a Master’s in Social Work from University of Houston and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from Georgetown University.
