ABOUT EBONY KILLEBREW

I’m someone who finds purpose in people-centered work—whether it’s supporting students, coordinating programs, or making sure all the moving parts behind a community event come together smoothly. I care deeply about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and set up to succeed. In my current role as Program Manager at DEEP, I support literacy initiatives in Southeast San Diego elementary schools. I’m the go-to person for program logistics, data reporting, and school partnership support. Basically, if it’s something that ensures students and families have what they need to thrive—I’m on it.My background as a classroom teacher and instructional coach taught me to lead with empathy, stay adaptable, and always keep equity at the center. I bring that mindset into everything I do—whether I’m managing details behind the scenes or collaborating with school leaders to make sure programs are responsive and effective.I value clear communication, strong relationships, and work that actually makes a difference. I’m also a big believer in bringing joy and authenticity into professional spaces—it’s how trust is built and good work gets done.Fun fact: I’ve run two half marathons (and still like running, somehow), I’m always down to try a new coffee shop, and I will 100% say yes to a game of pickleball—win or lose.
