Syatt uses an emic approach to culturally relevant programming to combat the impact of a culturally deficient mindset. Simply stated, we honor our ancestors and recognize the value of our legacy. We listen to understand and we endeavor to be present. All we have is now, and we will savor every moment. We inspire each other to achieve excellence because inherently, we know we can. If anything stands in the way of our aspirations.We agitate-Promotes culturally relevant programming that fosters social, intellectual, physical, and emotional development for youth and adults-Research and analyzes community culture and innovations to help inform policy and best practices in DEI efforts for nature equity-Organizer and founding member of a national network for grassroots community groups-Facilitates a research study abroad program with a social justice perspective for teens and young adults-Identifies and collaborates with community partners to create skilled sporting opportunities and coordinates all necessary supplies, meals, and transportation for outings and events for black and brown audiences-Research and implement strategies to address barriers to nature & recreation while maintaining organizational brand & identity-Presently secured grant funds and donations for programming and ensures compliance with funders through data tracking, evaluations, and outcome reports.
