ABOUT EBONNIE GOODFIELD

I am a Navy veteran, program manager, and Columbia University graduate with over a decade of experience leading large-scale initiatives across the military, higher education, and nonprofit sectors. My career has centered on building organizations, driving policy reform, and managing complex programs that deliver measurable impact.During my service, I deployed twice to the Western Pacific with the Stennis Strike Group as an Interior Communications Technician, overseeing critical systems and training nearly 200 sailors. Following my enlistment, I managed the Air National Guard’s Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program, supporting over Airmen and families through deployment transitions, partnerships, and events. My efforts raised compliance rates from 25% to 96% and forged collaborations with Fortune 500 companies to sustain military families.At Columbia, I earned the CAA Campbell Award, one of two honors bestowed upon a student at graduation, and founded the Women Veterans of Columbia University, 501c3, the first Ivy League organization dedicated to women veterans’ academic and professional advancement. I also co-created a fellowship program between Columbia GS and Barnard Athena Center and helped raise for student veteran scholarships through Columbia’s Military Ball. My work has been recognized with the Change Agent Award (twice), Service Award, and national media features.Currently, I serve as a University Senator and Graduate Student Representative on the Columbia Alumni Association Board while pursuing my Master of Social Work in policy practice. My focus is on leveraging veteran leadership and Ivy League networks to transform systems — from corporate strategy and consulting to higher education and public policy.
