About Erik Blachford
Founding team at Expedia (within Microsoft). I led Marketing before becoming President, then CEO at first Expedia and IAC Travel (the precursor to today\'s Expedia Inc collection of companies). I went on to be CEO at Terrapass, focused on carbon emission reduction, and CEO at Butterfield & Robinson, a pioneer in high-end adventure travel. Since then, I\'ve been involved in dozens of start up companies as an investor, advisor, or board member, through Pine5 Ventures and Narrative.Fund, and have worked with later stage companies as a Venture Partner at TCV. I continue to invest in startups through Blachford Capital, with specific focus on online travel, health & fitness, and clean energy.As a board member, I qualify under SEC rules to serve on public company Audit Committees. I have also served on or Chaired several Compensation Committees, both public and private, as well as Nomination & Governance Committees, and I served as the Lead Independent Director at Peloton Interactive.
