Since joining the team in 2020, designed and launched CWA’s world-class Testbed Program for accelerating commercialization from lab to market, manage a team that interfaces with over 300 innovators every year from all over the globe, and facilitated 80+ technology pilots from 13 countries, and nurture a network of hundreds of technology- and pilot-partners both domestically and abroad. Directed the build out of nearly square miles of IoT-enabling telemetry coverage over Lake Erie and the Ohio River basins, established CWA’s inventory of hundreds of IoT devices deployed annually, and oversee CWA’s Data Services program which generates some 1 million+ real-time data points a year, together establishing the Lake Erie Basin as the most digitally connected freshwater body in the world. Data and innovation programming provide advanced decision-support infrastructure to utility, industrial, commercial, and public-sector interests, as well as a global destination for commercializing IoT devices within the water industry.

Ebie is focused on solutions and market insights that accelerate response to water and infrastructure challenges around the world, with a specific interest in digital /\"smart\" technologies and applications. With a Silicon Valley background in information technology and services (data, search engines and software) as well as business planning, operations, management, strategic alliances, and the launch of new solutions for industries and communities, Ebie is currently Director of Clusters & Innovation at the Cleveland Water Alliance (CWA). Prior to CWA, Ebie served briefly as Interim CEO for Jet, Inc, a residential and commercial wastewater treatment products company, and as Founder and CEO of SplashLink, the first online marketplace to support an entire range of project, financing, sourcing and intelligence needs for the highly fragmented and increasingly stressed global water economy (acquired by WatrHub, 2019). Ebie brings a specific focus on data availability and integration opportunities to her service on the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC) in association with the Office of Energy and Environmental Industries, for the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration.Ebie’s interests gravitate toward vision-based designs for complex systems and impact-focused collaborations, as well as processes that enable sustained, viral innovation as a response to global market challenges and opportunities.
