ABOUT E. BETH JENSEN

Project Manager: Project management is the work to which I always gravitated. There is nothing more gratifying than working in a highly functional project team. Project Management is an art and a science. I have been taught the science by the best in the business, and I have a natural proclivity for the art. I get the most gratification taking diverse people, who are located in different international locations, and creating a functional project team that plans and executes a project efficiently. Training is another one of my strengths, and is something I enjoy doing. My trainees have fun, and give me high marks. My emphasis, however, is on planning. Taking the time for the cross-functional team to create a project plan is critical in order to meet the business commitment. Contingency planning is part of the planning process. Transparency, Roles & Responsibilities and Communication are also keys to project success. When the team and I establish \"the drill\" up front, focus can be on the work during project execution, not on administrative frustrations. I believe that hard work should be-for the most part- enjoyable. By respecting and supporting one another, we create a welcoming work environment. Respect and courtesy should be sustained even during times of great pressure and stress. A team that operates within a safe, structured environment will share information, think outside the box, and take chances.
