Jacquelyn Ekern, MS, LPC is the founder of Eating Disorder Hope. She is also a licensed professional counselor in private practice. She completed her Masters\' degree in Counseling/Psychology, at Capella University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Services degree from The University of Phoenix. Jacquelyn\'s past battle with and ongoing recovery from an eating disorder fuel her passion to help others who struggle with any type of disordered eating, body image/weight issues, depression and anxiety.Jacquelyn offers extensive experience in the eating disorder field including advanced education in psychology, consulting, participation, and contributions to additional eating disorder groups, symposiums, and professional associations. Jacquelyn is also a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders(AED), Oregon Counseling Association and American Christian Counseling Association.Specialties: Expertise in providing and/or finding eating disorder treatment suitable for the needs of the sufferer and their loved ones.

   Eating Disorder Hope\'s mission is to offer hope, information, resources, and support to individuals suffering from eating disorders, their loved ones, and treatment providers. The organization began with the help and advice of colleagues, professors, and other organizations specializing in eating disorders. Eating Disorder Hope was founded in January 2005 to offer hope & healing to those who struggle with disordered eating, body image, self-esteem, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health issues.
