ABOUT EASON TAN
A communicative, personable and organised individual with diverse interests and experiences in addition to a dedicated and persistent work ethic. An eye for detail and a track record of collaborative work. I am currently a Paralegal at DWF in the Insurance Motor Volume Department, dealing with over 100 litigated motor claims, personal injury and infant approval hearing cases. This position sees me move into a more corporate role with a vast amount of responsibility regarding my own caseload. Prior to this, I was a Paralegal at Slater Gordon, working within similar departments to Insurance Motor Volume. I had my own caseload of over 100 cases and mainly worked on Part 8 proceedings. I have previously obtained a 2:1 in my undergraduate degree of LLB Law at University of Liverpool and I will be pursuing the Bar Practice Training Course (BPTC) in 2024. I have a vast amount of work experience outside of law as well including working in the co-working industry and F&B industry. I am a firm believer in developing a diverse set of soft skills whilst horning my specialism in law. I have a vast amount of work experience outside of law as well including several roles in a position of high responsibility. I was a Community Specialist in Co-Labs Coworking Malaysia undertaking the daily operations of the business, enabling me to connect with a variety of startups and entrepreneurs. I was also a Customer Specialist at Inside Scoop Malaysia, a boutique ice cream parlour, helping to maintain the company\'s customer satisfaction level and food quality. In university, I was the first runner-up in the Bar Society Internal Mooting Competition. During my second year, I was a volunteer for the Law Society, tutoring first year students during the pandemic to help them cope with their studies, especially with online studying. On a personal level, I enjoy participating in public speaking/policy-making competitions, to further broaden my experience as a legal professional.
