On Deputation from Analyzer CAE Services to Cummins india Roles & Responsibilities:1. Conducted FEA analysis using Ansys workbench software with APDL codes for engine assemblies under various duty load cases.2. Extraction of details from the assembly drawings for the FEA analysis like geometry details, MMI, fastener details & welded parts details, etc3. Performed structural analysis of engine mounting systems, including ductile metal (sheet metal parts) and brittle metal components(Engine block, FWH, etc) for durability assessment of the Engine assembly.4. Identified stress hotspot regions and optimized mounting system geometry to mitigate failure risks.5. Performed canopy lifting analysis and identified hotspot regions and design suggestion given for further iterations. Implemented ANSYS APDL Codes for various analysis such as Fatigue analysis, DBJ analysis, etc. Carried out Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) and High Cycle Fatigue (HCF) analysis based on engine application.8. Conducted Neuber calculations to determine nonlinear stress that develops when the stress from the linear model exceeds material\'s yield strength in ductile steel structures.9. Performed DBJ analysis & investigated bolt failures due to axial loads, shear loads, and dynamic preload loss.10. Executed modal analysis to evaluate fatigue margins in excited structures. Performed random vibration analysis using Power Spectral Density (PSD) from actual tested data to assess structural response.
