ABOUT EARNEST SMITH

My mom said when I was born, that I came out with my hands raised asking questions. The one question that I have spent my life trying to find an answer to is: Why do people follow leaders? So I became an Eagle Scout and helped lead my Boy Scout troop before the age of 16. I applied to WestPoint, so I could learn about leadership at the highest level. I deployed twice to Iraq, so I could lead in war. It was messy. I lead 114 soldiers and 3 civilians in providing the internet for the President of the United States. I then became a wounded warrior, who lost my will to live and went down a path of insanity…I did some serious wrestling with my inner demons and thought I learned what it takes to lead oneself. I integrated back into America as a civilian and learned what it meant to try to lead my own business…I failed and I learned. I went on to lead other business teams and learned how to love a team in Corporate America. I heard a leader who shared their scars and encouraged me to live a life of purpose. We helped save over 700 Afghans from being killed….and I got mentally burned out. I sat on my couch, took care of my family, and the inner demons came back again for round two…I realized I wouldn’t follow myself if I was a leader. I decided to follow the best leader I know, Jesus. I got inspired and started to believe that I was an Earnest Leader who plants Positive Passion in others. I decided to grow deeper roots than longer branches and months later the fruits began to show. Now I wake up everyday as a treasure hunter who wants to discover the hidden gems that are already inside you and help transform your self-leadership from Insanity to Inspiration And everyday I ask two questions: How may I serve you today? And How may I inspire you today?
