About Earl Baggett

My practice is focused on labor, employment and business immigration matters. I serve as the vice chair of the firm\'s Labor, Employment and Immigration section, as well as the chair of the Immigration practice.In the immigration context, I assist my clients with the cross-border movement of personnel and staffing needs. I am highly experienced in obtaining nonimmigrant visas, such as H-1Bs, L-1As, L-1Bs, including new office L-1s, Blanket L-1s, TNs, E-2s, E-3s, etc, for my clients\' employees, as well as assisting my corporate clients in obtaining U.S. permanent residence for their employees either through employment-based mechanisms or through family relationships. We regularly provide advice on visa and travel issues.My practice also focuses on general labor and employment law and employment litigation. I counsel employers in connection with Title VII compliance, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act and a myriad of other federal and state laws. I regularly provide ongoing counseling in all areas of human resource management, including employee relations, employee counseling, managing the termination process, hiring process, employment agreements, employment handbooks, covenants not to compete/restrictive covenants, personnel practices and I-9 compliance issues. I also regularly represent clients in I-9 audits conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and have successfully defended clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The unique combination of my significant employment and immigration law experience enables me to effectively counsel clients on a variety of I-9 issues.
