Before qualifying as a Patent Attorney, I worked for several years as a design engineer in the defence and telecom industries. I believe that this offers me a valuable insight into the real-life problems encountered by designers when it comes to working out the best way through the maze of intellectual property.Specialties: I have extensive experience of applying for and securing patent protection in the UK and overseas for telecom, electronic, computer-based and general mechanical inventions. I also advise on design matters. I work with many clients in the Education sector and enjoy working with leading academics to help commercialise their inventions.
