ABOUT EILEEN MENDOZA

Eileen Mendoza is a professional engineer with more than eight years of experience in the energy industry spanning multiple disciplines in various sectors including oil & gas, natural gas utilities, and wind energy. Through her diverse background, Eileen brings with her a unique perspective and a comprehensive understanding of industry dynamics. Transitioning seamlessly into the wind energy sector, Eileen has dedicated the last 3.5 years in wind turbine engineering focusing on the U.S. and Canadian wind onshore market. Upon joining the Wind Technology group at DNV in 2022, Eileen has taken on technical due diligence work for both pre-construction and operational wind projects in support of project financing and M&A transactions. Her current responsibilities include independent turbine technology risk assessment, site suitability and life extension studies, O&M failure rates and cost projections, construction audits, and operational turbine reviews. Eileen is also involved in blade-related work including blade inspections, blade damage assessments, and blade manufacturing audits. Prior to her tenure at DNV, Eileen also obtained wind O&M experience as a project engineer for a blade inspection and repair campaign. Eileen is a licensed Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario and obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto with an Emphasis in Sustainable Energy and in Engineering, Leadership, Innovation and Technology in Engineering (ELITE).
