E.J. Swainson is the Chief Investigator at Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission, where he leads and develops investigators responsible for police certification and internal investigations. He has over 30 years of law enforcement experience, serving as a trooper, detective, and leader at various levels and locations. He is passionate about building a team of talented investigators to serve the community and the officers who protect it.He is an expert in counterterrorism, public safety, lean management, and leadership development. He is the Principal of Artius Consulting LLC, offering independent internal investigations, leadership development, safety, and counterterrorism advice to a diverse range of clients. He excels in interviewing, evidence analysis, report writing, and legal preparation. He is a co-teacher for Pathwise Leadership and SR8 Consulting. Additionally, he serves as the law enforcement advisor for Truefire LLC. He is a gifted public speaker, a recognized leader, and a survivor of a gunfight. Driven by a mission to uncover the truth, he conducts himself professionally and with unwavering integrity.
