About Tom Dever

Enabling the business through engineering and leadership in large scale global DevOps and Enterprise IT organizations.The only constant in technology is change, coupled with a transforming business like HERE Technologies and you get exposed to global business requirements and schedules that are not for the faint of heart. In my 7 year tenure I\'ve experienced the need to support significant IT growth, M&A, and Cloud transformation in extreme challenger and startup cultures.I started my HERE Technologies journey at Nokia managing a storage engineering team and then took on an expanded role managing global data centers and asset management I now lead a team focused on Enterprise Collaboration tools and Mobility. I had the great opportunity to negotiate, design, and build HERE\'s European core data center alongside a world class team. In parallel, HERE Technologies has been on a transformation journey of adopting public cloud computing, throughout this I have gained experience both competing against external providers and enabling a cloud first strategy. More recently my team has spearheaded a transformation project modernizing how HERE collaborates by shifting to a video-centric meeting platform and a persistent team chat SaaS offering enabling HERE’s 100 plus global offices to communicate dynamically and more efficiently. Building highly performing teams makes me go, I rely heavily on affiliative and coaching leadership styles to engage and enable individuals to create business and personal value. With strong teams developed, I really like to focus on the financial side of IT services with deep experience and a track record of managing large budgets, forecasting, and financial planning. Outside of the office I volunteer on the executive board of a local youth hockey organization focused on teaching young athletes the fundamentals of the game.
