About Dylan Brown

Living, working, and playing in the greatest city in the world! I’m utilizing my experience in urban planning and community development to move towards a more equitable New York City. Through my work, education, and personal experiences, I am consistently enhancing my understanding of the many layers that constitute a city. Previous work includes collaborating with neighborhood organizations to create long-term action plans, planning and facilitating community engagement initiatives, historic research and preservation advocacy, cartographical design, photography, and event planning and management. I have also been involved in informing streetscape design, managing multi-million dollar public contracts, implementing open streets and public space projects, and advocating for better transportation solutions.

   Working alongside the President of RIHS to develop programming and funding initiatives- Developed the \"RI 50\" exhibit at the Roosevelt Island Visitors Center- Performing long-term research on the urban development of Roosevelt Island- Conducting lectures on Roosevelt Islands history with the New York Public Library.
