Selected as an exceptional junior for active and substantive involvement in Carolina community, leadership skills, public speaking ability, comfortable leading difficult conversations, and dedication to helping others succeed.Completed 25+ hours of peer leader training to date to deliver the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition curriculum. The curriculum aims to foster a sense of belonging, promote university engagement, develop critical thinking skills, and help to clarify purpose, meaning, and direction. Currently facilitating 21 first-year students through team-building activities and discussions where a diversity of viewpoints are recognized and considered. Provide one-on-one guidance, resource referrals, and ongoing mentorship to help new students make a successful transition to campus, both academically and personally.
