CAREER SUMMARY: After graduating with a degree in television, internet, and mobile media from Columbia, I joined Underwear Expert (an online retail subscription startup) and dove into running all their digital platforms. Within just a couple years, I began taking on progressive leadership roles within the company moving up into a Marketing Director role and ultimately to Brand Director. Over the course of my 5-years with Underwear Expert, I succeeded in leaving a mark on everything from standard processes to the overarching public brand. In early 2020, I wanted to diversify my experience and took on a new role as Senior Social Media Manager for Better.com (a digital mortgage tech startup). After a year and a half, I was promoted to Associate Social Media Director where I oversaw our increased budget for organic social as well as managed a team of interns. In February of 2022, I had the opportunity to develop Mahana\'s social media and community strategies in an effort to increase their brand awareness as they launched a new medical device. After 10 years or consideration, I decided to go out my own and start accepting clients to help build their online presence through social media. Dylan Weber Social Media Solutions launched in September of 2022. KEY AREAS OF EXPERTISE: I have established a strong foundation and knack for moving the needle within organizations through my efforts to analyze brand standards with a critical eye, understand who a brand is at its core, and develop associated marketing strategies to align the brand with target audience values. Through interrelated branding and marketing efforts, I spur business growth as it relates to brand awareness, community engagement, and revenue gains. WHAT SETS ME APART: I approach branding, marketing, social media, community management, content creation and literally everything else I do with a mix of strategy and creativity. My education and professional experience gives me a solid foundation in best practices and what “should be done” while my personality drives me to push the envelope and roll out ideas with an extra spark. Add to this mix the fact that I have a background in comedy with Second City and you are left with a leader that strikes a fine balance between witty and practical.
