About Dylan McCarthy

Hello! I am a second-year law student at The George Washington University Law School, currently working as a law clerk at the public defender’s office. This past summer, I interned in the Chief Counsel\'s Office at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), where I defended TSA in employment matters pending before the EEOC and MSPB and supported agency counsel’s work with DOJ to defend TSA in federal courts.I graduated with highest honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a dual degree in government and political communication and a business and public policy minor. At UT Austin, I was selected for the Archer Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C, and recognized as a Distinguished College Scholar three years in a row. Throughout college, I gained hands-on legislative experience working part-time as a policy associate in the Texas Legislature and also interning in the United States Senate for a semester. Less than 48 hours after graduating – and in the heat of election season – I joined Global Strategy Group as an Elections Assistant, where I conducted public opinion research and synthesized polling data to support strategic decisions during the 2024 election cycle. As I pursue my legal career, I am committed to using my skills and experiences to advocate for others and drive meaningful social change.
