About Dylan Jablonski

I’m an Honors Computer Science student at Rowan University, consistently recognized on the Dean’s List, with a strong foundation in Java and growing experience in full-stack web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL. I currently work as a web developer and webmaster for Rowan University\'s Department of Computer Science, where I help maintain and improve the department website, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop tools to enhance usability and workflow efficiency.I also serve as a research assistant in the Advanced Cyber Systems Usable Security (ACSUS) Lab, where I work under the guidance of Dr. Ivanov and project lead Sushanth Ambati. Our research focuses on novel authentication protocols that replace traditional passwords with icon-based visual representations to improve both security and usability. My work involves icon validation, as well as technical development using JavaScript and PHP to manipulate SVG-based visual password components.Outside of work and research, I’m actively involved in Rowan’s Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) club, participating in both the DevOps and Web Development committees. Through these experiences, I’ve strengthened my communication and teamwork skills by collaborating closely with peers on coding projects, participating in weekly technical discussions, and contributing to shared goals in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.I’m passionate about exploring fields like AI, cybersecurity, and software engineering. I enjoy tackling challenges, learning new technologies, and working on projects that deliver real-world impact.

1. Web Developer Webmaster

   As a webmaster and web developer for Rowan University’s Department of Computer Science, I collaborate with a team to manage and enhance the department’s website. In weekly meetings, we coordinate project plans, review progress, and identify opportunities to improve functionality, usability, and content.My responsibilities include resolving technical issues, updating faculty and staff pages, and adding new content to ensure the site remains accurate, accessible, and engaging. I also prepare documentation to support smooth project handoffs and maintain continuity for future developers.Recently, I contributed to the development of the Accelerated Dual Degree Program (ADDP) registration webpage, designed to streamline the course registration process for 4+1 students. This system eliminates the need for students to email faculty to reserve seats in graduate-level courses. Under the guidance of a lead developer, I worked hands-on with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL to bring this system to life.In addition, I’ve learned how to build CRUD-based forms that allow administrators to easily create, update, or delete database records, improving internal workflows and data management.This role continues to strengthen both my technical and collaborative skills through real-world experience in full-stack web development and content management.
