Maintain the firm’s warrant checklist for each Ohio county, where I record any of our clients outstanding warrants for attorney action and follow-up • Assist attorneys in reviewing discovery documents and preparing relevant briefs for different trials and hearings, in addition to attending various courts for motions and the rendering of decisions • Send out court notices, file demands for discovery, and many other documents to the clerk of courts • Prepare trial binders for various trials, as well as review relevant discovery in person at the prison with our clients who are incarcerated • Contact potential new clients and guide them through the firm’s intake process, which involves gathering a vast amount of factual information so that our firm can build out a client file with all of the relevant data. • Answer phone inquiries from new potential clients about our firm and our services and also fielding calls from existing clients looking for status updates, or intake of new matters • Provide face to face interaction as needed with jailed clients, to discuss their discovery in order to prepare them for trial • Improve our client database by going through each file and implementing a consistent formatting approach to allow the system to be more efficient and consistently retrieve all requested data
