The Utah Innovation Center, as part of the Governor\'s Office of Economic Opportunity, assists Utah small businesses seeking funding for research and development of innovative technology. While small businesses are a major driver of American innovation, commercialization, and overall economic growth, they oftentimes struggle to obtain crucial early financing. The federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs reduce the risks associated with early stage technology. Our office supports Utah businesses to compete for this federal research and development funding.
