As a Systems Administrator in the, I managed and maintained Microsoft Windows Server environments, including versions 2012 R2, and 2022. I installed, configured, and supported Veritas NetBackup (NBU) software across various Windows Server platforms (versions 4.5, 5.1, 7.6, and 10.4) and administered backups in a mixed client operating system environment including Windows, Solaris, and Linux. I deployed and maintained Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) server hardware-specifically models DL585 G2, DL180 G8, DL380 G8, and DL380 G10+-and configured HPE and Broadcom RAID controllers using RAID1, RAID10, RAID5, and RAID6. My responsibilities also included managing HPE StorageWorks tape library systems (MSL4048 and MSL3040) equipped with LTO-2, LTO-6, LTO-7, and LTO-9 tape drives and SCSI HBA controllers. I provided system and user administration across Windows, Solaris, and Linux systems in multiple lab environments and managed a Microsoft Active Directory (AD) network. Additionally, I configured TCP/IP settings, maintained lab networks and switches, and collaborated with HPE and Veritas Technical Support for hardware and software issue resolution. I ensured access to vendor technical support by maintaining active support contracts and accounts, and regularly interfaced with local IT and NASA Security personnel to coordinate network changes, troubleshoot issues, and uphold security compliance.
