I am the Divisional Head: UK at True South, where I am tasked with launching and managing our UK operations. My role involves expanding our footprint internationally while delivering the same high standard of actuarial expertise and value-driven solutions that True South is known for.My philosophy is to bring as much value as possible to every situation and person I engage with.As a fully qualified actuary (FASSA) with a specialization in non-life/general insurance, I have extensive experience across the non-life and life insurance sectors, particularly in the Southern Africa market. I have led critical support functions for the Head of Actuarial Function (HAF) across multiple insurers, covering solvency, reserving, asset-liability alignment, and product development.I have a proven track record in IFRS 17 implementation, having overseen full rollouts for both life and non-life insurance firms across Southern Africa and internationally. My strong technical skills have enabled me to design efficient reserving processes and manage complex data processing projects using Python, VBA, R, and SQL. My work with Prophet software includes valuation runs, troubleshooting, and producing consolidated and product-level valuation reports.Additionally, I have deep expertise in actuarial project management, where I excel at understanding complex business challenges, developing practical client-specific solutions, and effectively communicating outcomes through detailed reporting. I am passionate about business, education, and giving back, always seeking to generate valuable insights and drive meaningful, positive change for my clients and the industries I serve.
