ABOUT DYLAN ALDRIDGE

I’ve always been curious about how things work - whether decoding patterns in math, building programs as side projects, or experimenting with financial models just for fun. That curiosity led me to the University of Nottingham, where I’m now a second-year Computer Science student blending technical foundations with a passion for solving real-world problems in FinTech.My journey into tech started early. Co-founding a blockchain startup during sixth form taught me more than coding - it built my resilience, adaptability, and ability to turn ideas into impact. That experience sparked my interest in bridging technology and business, and I’ve been exploring this intersection ever since.Since then, I’ve grown my skills through a software development internship, where I helped build sustainable and scalable systems, and academic projects that challenged me to apply algorithms and models to practical problems. From designing options pricing models and crypto wallets to developing a VR game for lower limb rehabilitation, I thrive on pushing boundaries and learning something new.Outside the code editor, I channel my competitive spirit into sports - running my first half marathon in 1:30 taught me discipline and persistence, values I bring to every project. I’m also a polyglot, fluent in English and Spanish and conversational in German and Mandarin, offering a global perspective when collaborating in diverse teams.Looking ahead, I’m focused on how AI and machine learning can transform finance - from predictive modelling to democratising access to financial tools. My goal?
