ABOUT TIM WILLIS

I am a Computational Linguistics / Artificial Intelligence expert and entrepreneur, and am hugely enthusiastic about applying Natural Language Processing to real-world challenges such as increasing productivity, simplifying information management, designing chatbots and more. I currently run my own company and am also interested in consultancy opportunities and partnerships. I have extensive experience conducting and applying research in academia and industry, with expertise in grammar, semantics and annotation of large databases of text. I commercialised my PhD research to create a powerful custom word prediction product, Flexpansion, that doubles specialist and technical typing speed on a touchscreen, saving professionals time. It is available for phones and tablets, and now smartwatches, using a novel, easy-to-use, patent-pending user interface I invented. Our apps overcome the single greatest hurdle in using mobile devices - slow text entry - with exceptional word prediction and autocorrect, and uniquely by expanding *any* reasonable abbreviation into full, hugely boosting your speed.
