About Dwight Hudson

I’ve spent most of my career building systems in places where things are complex, stakes are high, and clarity really matters.By trade, I work in tech, leading cross-functional programs that sit at the intersection of product, engineering, operations, and integrity. A lot of my work has been in messy problem spaces—where ownership isn’t always clear, tradeoffs are real, and decisions can ripple far beyond the immediate team. I’ve learned to slow things down, ask better questions, and help groups move forward with confidence instead of urgency.Alongside that work, I’ve also spent years in people-centered leadership roles. Listening to feedback that wasn’t always well-formed. Helping teams and individuals talk through tension, uncertainty, and change. Watching how often progress stalls not because people don’t care or don’t know enough—but because fear, shame, or overwhelm make it hard to engage honestly. That pattern kept showing up for me, especially around money.Even in my own life, I noticed that having information didn’t always translate into clarity or confidence. And when I talked to friends, coworkers, and family, I heard versions of the same thing: “I’m doing okay… but I don’t really trust myself with money.”That’s what led me to start building TalkCents.TalkCents is an early-stage project exploring how financial tools might work differently if emotional safety came first. Instead of pushing optimization or discipline, it focuses on helping people build self-trust—using calm, low-pressure experiences that connect real financial behavior with the patterns underneath it.I’m also a husband and a father, which has changed how I think about work, success, and what’s actually worth building. I’m not interested in creating things that require burning myself—or other people—out. I care about sustainability, honesty, and building systems (technical and human) that hold up over time.Right now, TalkCents is in limited alpha testing. I’m learning as I go, building thoughtfully, and paying close attention to what actually helps people feel more grounded—not just more informed. If you’re interested in product design, human behavior, or building tools that respect how people really change, I’m always open to a good conversation. All views expressed here are my own and do not represent my employer.

Experience

  1. Technical Program Manager

    Meta

    Jan 2022 — Present

At Meta, I’ve led complex, cross-functional programs focused on reliability, operational risk reduction, and system integrity at scale. As a Technical Program Manager, my core strength is turning ambiguous, high-stakes problem spaces into clear strategies and executable roadmaps—aligning product, engineering, operations, integrity, and finance partners around shared outcomes. My work has helped unlock meaningful business and ecosystem impact by improving critical workflows, increasing transparency, and ensuring systems perform consistently under real-world conditions. I’m often brought into spaces where ownership is unclear, dependencies are complex, and decisions carry significant downstream risk—and my role is to create clarity, momentum, and trust.I’m known for hands-on technical leadership: translating data into decisions, surfacing root causes, and driving pragmatic solutions that balance product quality, integrity, and efficiency. Across multiple domains, I’ve built durable operating models, established metrics teams can run with, and influenced org-wide change by helping teams navigate uncertainty with confidence.Beyond delivery, I invest in scaling impact through mentorship and durable systems—so teams move faster, operate more effectively, and make better decisions even after I step out of the room.
