Dana Whalls is currently the Vice President of Association for Advancing Automation (A3). A3 is the umbrella corporation that runs three global trade associations: the Robotic Industries Association (RIA), AIA - the Association for Advancing Vision + Imaging and the Motion Control & Motor Association (MCMA). A3 currently represents over 850 member companies from more than 32 nations. RIA, AIA and MCMA focus on expanding the understanding and use of robotics, vision and imaging and motion control technologies, thereby helping their member companies succeed and grow. RIA, AIA and MCMA provide industry trade shows, technical conferences, and industry networking events. They develop industry standards, collect market data, offer educational resources, and provide content-rich industry portal websites. Dana is responsible for association management, global sales/business development, Board liaison, marketing, membership, trade shows, public relations, web development, social media, event planning and staff development. Membership has grown more than 50% since she joined the group.
