   As an Operations Tech. I had the privilege of working in the following units: Delayed Coker, Waste Water, Cooling Tower, Caustic & Acid, Distillate Spent Caustic, Sulphur Recovery, Sour Water Treatment, Storage & Handling, Dock Operations, Gasoline Blending, Calciner, Calcined Coke Handling, Boilerhouse, Flares & Reformer.* Planning Dept.(2 years)* Inspection Dept.(2 years)* As a Safety Coordinator, I had the responsibility of monitoring, correcting and overseeing all concerns of safety pertaining to all jobs being pursued by in-house maintenance groups and all contractor groups brought in to assist in the turnaround needs. With this position I had the authority to shutdown any unsafe job, remove any personnel that chose not to work within the guidelines placed on the job and direct changes needed concerning unsafe practices being done an any job. Permit writing was a big piece of my responsibility.
