ABOUT DIVYA SHARMA

With an unconventional journey transitioning from STEM careers to the dynamic field of policy development, I bring a unique and distinct perspective shaped by a deep analytical foundation and diverse global experience. Holding a PhD in Mathematics, I apply a rigorous, problem-solving mindset to address complex development challenges. For the past 10 years, I have worked with leading research institutions, including the University of Münster, Oxford University, and Princeton University, as well as with governments and international organizations such as the OECD, UNESCO, Germany\'s federal and state education ministries, India’s Department of Science and Technology, and the Office for the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales. My work spans an extensive range of topics: from mathematics curriculum development and STEM education pathways to digital transformation with a focus on digital skills, the role of non-state actors in education, leadership challenges in education systems, and education and social financing. A strong advocate for youth empowerment and gender equity, I am particularly passionate about driving initiatives that promote inclusivity and opportunity for underrepresented groups. My expertise lies in co-managing and executing projects across varied scales, contexts, and geographies, with a proven ability to bridge research, policy, strategy, and implementation.
