About Duygu Goksu
I’m a Data Scientist at DICK’S Sporting Goods with a PhD in theoretical linguistics and a data science diploma from BrainStation. I’m especially interested in combining large language models (LLMs) with classical data science to solve problems involving language and behavior. At BrainStation, my capstone used prompt engineering and one-shot learning to label song lyrics by style, augmenting a Spotify dataset to train deep learning models predicting song popularity. I work primarily in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow), with experience in SQL, Tableau, and the OpenAI API, and bring a strong foundation in experimental design and statistics from my academic research.
