Since September 2022 Jerome Duval is the Global Head of Intermodal at Credit Agricole CIB (“CACIB”)Between 2011 & 2022 Jerome was Head of the New York Shipping & Offshore Group leading a team responsible for the coverage of the bank’s shipping and offshore finance activities in North America.Before opening the NY Ship Finance department for CACIB in 2011 Jerome was based in London where he was responsible for the coverage of North American shipping and offshore clients of the bank.Jerome started his career with Credit Lyonnais in New York in 1997 before moving to Credit Agricole in Paris and subsequently joined the Ship finance Group of Credit Agricole Indosuez in 2001.In Paris he was in charge of coordinating the structuring of ship finance transactions originated by the respective regional shipping coverage units of the bank (Hong Kong, Piraeus, Oslo, and London). Between 2001 and 2006 he contributed to the structuring of, and secured credit approvals for, more than 150 shipping and offshore lending transaction representing in excess of $7billion of capital deployed by the bank across all shipping segments.In 2006 Jerome joined the London Shipping Group to support the coverage of European and North American clients of the bank. He was rapidly promoted as the senior coverage officer in charge of North American shipowner in 2007.Between 2007 and 2011 he successfully developed the clientele base and grew the North American Shipping book of the bank by 400% from $500million to $2billion.He has over 20 years of experience in banking, most of which in shipping finance. Over the years he has been privileged to work on all segments through various economic cycles allowing him to acquire diverse perspective and to develop a global view on the industry.
