ABOUT DUSTON MORRIS
I am a certified health education specialist and health and wellness coach with over 25 years of experience in fitness, health and wellness, recreation, and leisure behavior. My current professional roles include various teaching, training, research, and leadership responsibilities in health education, health promotion, and health and wellness coaching. I have teaching, research, and service experience from Notre Dame of Maryland University, Maryland University of Integrative Health, the University of Central Arkansas, University of Arkansas, Northwest Arkansas Community College, Longwood University, University of Kansas Medical Center, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center at the University of Missouri, and Fulton State Hospital. My leadership experience includes Department Chair of the Health and Wellness Coaching programs at Maryland University of Integrative Health, Health Coaching and Internship Coordinator at the University of Central Arkansas, Assistant Director of the Spring Hill Mental Health and Wellness Center, and Wellness Coordinator at Longwood University. I have developed and implemented individual and group fitness programs, community and campus health initiative programs, recreation camp programs and various multisport training clinics and workshops. I have been recognized for outstanding teaching, scholarship and student advisement. I have been interviewed regarding various health related topics, groundbreaking youth health initiative programs, and have been a guest lecturer on similar topics. I have completed book reviews, article reviews, and have publications in scholarly journals, health internet sites, and fitness-related books. I have led and served on numerous community and collegiate committees. I also have experience coaching youth and adult endurance athletes, helping them reach the Boston Marathon, Age Group Nationals, 70.3 World Championships, and Team USA.
