ABOUT DUSTIN MOFFITT

Dustin Moffitt, ND, is the medical director of Prospectively Healthy in Hays, Kansas. He is a Naturopathic Doctor with advanced certifications in Bioidentical hormones, thyroid replacement, IV nutrition, and Regenerative medicine.A native Kansan who was raised near Whitewater, Dr. Moffitt earned his bachelor’s degree at Wichita State University with a major in chemistry and minors in biology, physics, and sociology. He received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) – now known as National University of Natural Medicine — in Portland, Ore.Dr. Moffitt was inspired to pursue a career in integrative medicine after seeing family members struggle with health issues.“My childhood seemed to be filled with seemingly healthy family members falling ill, suffering catastrophic medical events and even succumbing to early death from these complications,” he said. I knew there had to be a deeper answer than what we were seeing on the surface in our surrounding hospitals and healthcare system. After discovering Naturopathic Medicine – the understanding that we can heal ourselves by bringing balance back to the body – I knew this was the answer I was looking for.”Dr. Moffitt spent five years teaching nutrition and wellness to the community at the Food as Medicine Institute in Portland.He also worked alongside acupuncturists, massage therapists, and chiropractors as a primary care physician before returning to Kansas in 2017 to join the Riordan Clinic. He specializes in pain management, sports rehabilitation, chronic illness, hormone therapies, thyroid management, and weight loss.His professional memberships include the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Practitioners, and the Kansas Naturopathic Doctor’s Association. In his medical practice, Dr. Moffitt emphasizes a connection to the patients and ensuring that they are well educated about their conditions, treatment options, and prognosis.Outside of the clinic, Dr. Moffitt enjoys trail running, mountain biking and hiking with his wife Jess and their two children, Juniper and Callum. He also enjoys spending time in their garden growing food for the family. He is constantly looking for his next adventure. On the weekends, he can be found at the local farmers market and other community-based events.
