About Dustin Bosworth

I am passionate about improving the overall numbers of a business, the information available to the general public concerning the business. Health care, and economic stability is one of the key areas that grabs my attention. I am a Google Glass Explorer, as well as a maker and \"hacker\". Outside of the realms of technology and communication, I am deeply interested and involved in the life-hacking/bio-hacking realm (such as alternative medicine and nootropics). My first job was at a small Vietnamese restaurant where I worked as a waiter, starting in 2004 during my Sophomore year in highschool. I\'d have to say that this specific job was one where I learned a majority of what I use today for business. Primarily being that a happy customer is a returning customer, and how a personable yet professional attitude could help further increase customer happiness. I maintained this job and worked a few other part time jobs over the next 3 years before eventually starting work as a telemarketer for CDG. My work from 2007 to 2010 for CDG definitely falls right alongside my work as a waiter in teaching me skills I\'ve now learned to rely and capitalize on. Not just in terms of closing sales and donations through telemarketing, but how tone and inflection could either harm or benefit a potential sale. Over the course of the 3 years I went from being a Cold-Caller that didn\'t have the nerve to push for a close, to becoming a TAPS caller eligible for promotion to manager as well as having a spot in the top CDG Telemarketer list for Texas. Through the proper training from the 3 managers there, I had learned to turn the answer \"No\" into a \"Maybe\" and finally taking this and turning it into a close. During this time period, from 2007 to 2010, I was attending classes at TAMU and Blinn College in Bryan with aspirations of career in Chemical Engineering. However in 2011 I dropped out of college and moved to Houston, with new aspirations. aspirations of becoming a business executive.
