About Dustin Young
With over a decade of dedicated service in the Army, I bring extensive experience and specialized knowledge to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) instruction, physical security, and red team leadership. As a CBRN Instructor, I am adept at training and preparing personnel for various scenarios involving hazardous materials and threats. My role as a physical security officer has honed my skills in protecting assets and ensuring safety through meticulous planning and execution.In addition to my military expertise, my current interests lie in operationalizing complex psychological concepts within behavioral analytic frameworks, such as autonomy, motivation, and decision-making. I also investigate the neural mechanisms and evolutionary functions behind these processes. I aim to develop practical interventions that honor both the biological roots and behavioral expressions of human behavior, particularly for populations with neurological or developmental differences.Through this integrative lens, I aim to contribute to a more holistic understanding of behavior, bridging the gap between what we do, how our brains shape it, and why our species evolved to behave the way we do, with a focus on behavior profiling and body language. This unique specialization enables me to understand and predict human behavior, which is crucial in security and organizational settings.My ongoing pursuit of learning and growth in these areas underscores my commitment to making meaningful contributions to the military and civilian sectors. I will be leaving the Army in May 2026, with the hope of finding a job where I can utilize my skills fully.
