I’m a passionate, award-winning creative leader with over 20 years of experience in the themed entertainment industry. Recently I led the multi-disciplined team that created the Zootopia land and attraction, Zootopia: Hot Pursuit! at Shanghai Disney Resort. I directed a global team from California to Shanghai, taking the project from blank sheet of paper to opening day. Zootopia’s success and innovative approach to storytelling significantly elevated awareness and emotional resonance of the Zootopia brand across China, along with the overall perception and appeal of Shanghai Disney Resort. My passion extends to my dynamic leadership style, directing and empowering talent, both junior and seasoned, across a broad spectrum of work, all grounded by my extensive knowledge of the theme park industry and experience working abroad for over a decade. Acting as a safety net, I nurture the talents of our diverse, global teams to simultaneously grow and successfully create large scopes of work that elevate the appeal of well-known brands through aspirational experiences. Through my many years of experience working in Mainland China, I have a clear understanding of the audience’s expectations and types of experiences that emotionally resonate with the greater China demographic. I excel in collaborating with park leadership, IP holders, government partners, and mainland China vendors.My work as Creative Director on Camp Discovery at Shanghai Disneyland, an innovative mountain trekking attraction, was recognized with a THEA Award for Outstanding Achievement - Attraction. More recently, I was acknowledged as one of the Blooloop Top 50 Theme Park Influencers alongside industry legends such as Luc Mayrand and Phil Bloom.
