Claims/Risk Manager (September 2022 - Present)Receive and adjust claims and provide risk management services and inspections for the Diocese of Sioux City. Claims Supervisor (November 2017 - August 2022)Promotion received in the wake of my work leading a team in the Catholic Mutual CAT response following Hurricane Harvey. I\'m now responsible for the review of the work of Claims Representatives in the home office and Claims/Risk Managers in the field, as well as continuing to handle higher complexity property, casualty, and auto losses. Claims Specialist/OnBase SME (May 2017 - November 2017)Following the establishment of a track record of excellent claims handling, and after assisting in the development, deployment, training, and further enhancement of Hyland Software\'s OnBase as the company\'s claim processing system, I was promoted to this new position in May of 2017.In this new role, my time will effectively be split between two primary functions: working as a primary claim handler on moderate to severe property, casualty, and auto losses as well as leading development initiatives and providing training for the OnBase claim system platform. Sr. Claims Representative (November 2014 - May 2017) Responsible for processing claims by verifying coverage, adjusting claims directly, authorizing payments or denial, and communicating with clients, claimants, and adjusters, both verbally and in writing. Lines of business include auto, general liability, and property. Claims vary in severity from low exposure losses to those involving complex, lengthy litigation.As part of that launch process, I was tapped to provide training for current and future home office and service office claims employees in the use of a new claim operating system, as well as being designated as a team member on future development projects for the system.
