    Hand Selected for the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Deputy Ship Safety Manager position equivalent to a GS13 grade level. I have served in this position for the past three years carrying out all duties and responsibilities as a Ship Safety Specialist and Deputy Ship Safety Manager. •As the Deputy Ship Safety Manager I was responsible in maintaining the lines of communication exist between Ship’s force, Trade Supervisors, Non-nuclear chief Test Engineers and Nuclear Chief Test Engineers, Project Superintendent’s, Department Heads and all codes on the all DSRA, DCMAV, EDRA, CMAV, Voyage repair periods, ECMAVS, and Shipyard scheduling activities to ensure that all Nuclear and non-nuclear Technical Work Documents(TWDS) which affect Ship Safety and Fire Safety are approved by the Ships Safety Council. •Performed over 1,200 Fire and ship safety surveillances using CSS (Consolidated Surveillance System) ensuring that all unsatisfactory and or questionable inspection findings were documented and corrected in a timely manner ensuring all availabilities are in compliance with NAVSEA regulations.•I Maintain knowledge and administrative control of ship safety and system status related to ship safety and provide for the preparation, issue and maintenance of ship plan of the day (SPOD).•I maintain ship conditions and system status to maintain watertight integrity by ensuring that all hull penetrations located below the waterline have and use double barrier protection and documented on the SPOD during a waterborne condition •As the Deputy Ship Safety manager I led 25 personnel, both civilian and military, in identifying hazardous conditions that occurred or could occur and proposed actions to resolve conflicts and approved or disapproved as necessary to maintain the safety of the ship and making sure that all changes are documented on the SPOD. •Spearheaded the development, qualifications, and training for both FMB and CNO Ship Safety Specialist.
