In the Sourcing, we are responsible for the manufacturing of all the Bata products you see in store and online. We are located and managing all of our factory supplier across the particular location, ensuring that they are making our product as the designers intended; using the right material and production techniques, producing the correct volume at the right price and achieving the required deadline. We also make sure that our supplier run their factories to the highest standards, ensuring everyone who works in them are safe, correctly trained and properly rewarded. We’re also responsible for sourcing the right raw material to our products. This could be anything from leather, synthetic, sole, thread, packing material etc. Ones we have sourced all the material for our product and people in the place to make it, we work with them to produce our product exactly as we require. This means getting all the details correct such as the cut of leather and lining, stitching, trimming, lasting and packing and so on. We are the people actually responsible for orders with supplier for however many units we have. The Supplier factories will make an initial (pilot run) of each new style, which we test extensively. We test the strength of shoes on different parameters physically and chemically. We then feedback amendments to the factories to help them get the final product as per standards. Complete owner ship of vendor and also responsible for about 350K pairs, manufacturing as per month-wise.
