I hold responsibility for all the institution under the Somaiya umbrella, which range from Somaiya Vidyavihar university, institutions under the Somaiya Vidyavihar trust, medical institutes under Somaiya Ayurvihar, rural schools. The community is continuously expanding creating more and more institution under the Somaiya Brand.|Responsibilities - The Function of Alumni Relation derives directly from its vision, purpose. and goal. These serve as a guide to the nature of outcomes that are sought by Alumni Relations in congruence with the Vision of the Chairman of the Somaiya Education Group- Includes Policy making and Strategy making, this also includes modification to existing policy, strategy and processes as appropriate - There are two principal aspects : A. Identity a) To manage and to provide proactive custodianship the identity Architecture relating to Somaiya Alumni in consonance with the Somaiya Education Group;b) To support the set of identities, enhance the meaning of, Keep contemporary and appropriately disseminate identity in association with the Alumni Function\'s programs, communication and objects.B. Connection, Pride, Participation and Contribution a) To develop the database, tools and processes needed to connect with alumni;b) To develop processes that enable alumni to become alumni in a smooth manner on completion of their education at Somaiya institution;c) To conceive, create, develop and operate programs and activities for alumni to contribute; to provide opportunities to alumni that may include learning, career enhancement and recreation;Tasks Undertaken- Incorporation and registration of SVU Alumni Association- Advise on Regularization of Alumni Associations of other constituent institutions under SVV and SAV- Advise on Ensuring Statutory, financial and legal compliance of al Alumni bodies- Conceptualizing, Planning and implementation of mega Alumni reunion event covering the entire Somaiya community
