ABOUT DUNCAN HALL
PhD geologist with experience in regional mapping and greenfields exploration. Currently overseeing all technical geological aspects – including planning, implementation, and strategic interpretation of results – of Centamin PLC\'s Eastern Desert Exploration (EDX) programmes after leading comprehensive prospectivity assessments conducted over the same area during 2021- early 2022. Centamin\'s EDX projects cover ca. km2 of the highly prospective and un/underexplored Proterozoic Nubian Shield in Egypt\'s Eastern Desert, where the lack of significant systematic exploration in modern times has necessitated the independent development, testing, and implementation of appropriate greenfields exploration tools based on the adaptation of established techniques. Strong technical and research skills in general/structural geological mapping earned during postgraduate research now bolstered by technical skills in modern systematic mineral exploration including the collection, management, curation, and interpretation of exploration data using the latest software packages such as QGIS, ioGAS, Micromine, and Leapfrog.
