WORK HISTORY
Senior Programme Manager @Football Foundation
England, GB
I lead the delivery of the Football Foundation\'s Hubs programme (https://footballfoundation.org.uk/hubs-programme), ensuring that each Hub site is built on a solid, sustainable model that meets the unique needs of its community. Hubs are flagship, multi-million pound investments into community sports facilities. They are designed to meet local demand and can include 3G and grass football pitches, multi-sport, health and well-being facilities. Every Hub is different, designed to bring together football, other sports, physical activity, and vital community services in one accessible space.I manage the pipeline of future Hubs, working closely with our Grant Management Team to shape design, procurement, and investment strategies that maximise both sustainability and social impact.I also support the Head and Director of Programmes in exploring new ways to expand or adapt our model to strengthen grassroots football for the long term.Beyond the Hubs, I’m responsible for developing new programmes aligned with the Foundation’s strategic goals, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our partners and the communities we serve.

ABOUT DUNCAN JENKINSON
I am an experienced sports industry professional, with expertise in facility development, media and communications roles, and have cross-sector experience in cricket, football and table-tennis. Currently I manage investment into the East Region to develop football facilities in partnership with stakeholders such as County FA\'s, local authorities and grassroots football clubs. This includes strategic projects that have been identified by Local Football Facility Plans, including Hubs, 3G Football Turf Pitches, Changing Pavilions, Grass Pitches and Small-Sided Facilities including PlayZones. I also currently volunteer for Table Tennis England within their Development Committee, providing support to the successful delivery of their Table Tennis United strategy, which aims to promote the sport to a wider audience, and reduce barriers to participation to build a thriving Table Tennis community.Outside of work, I am the founder and producer of the Sport Insider Podcast (https://apple.co/2SokYLK / https://spoti.fi/2ICDGKC) which promotes non-mainstream sports to a wider audience. I also volunteer at Special Olympics in communications and marketing.
